Scope. We report on mental-health care in Colorado. Stories are selected for relevance to Colorado residents seeking or receiving care, to clinicians practicing in the state, and to the policy environment that shapes both.

Sourcing. Every published story cites its sources in a "Sources" list. We prefer primary documents — regulations, legislative records, FDA notices, journal articles, court filings, official releases — over secondary coverage. Claims about treatment efficacy or safety are attributed to the study, agency, or clinician making them. We state regulatory status plainly: a treatment is described as FDA-cleared, FDA-approved, or off-label as the facts warrant. Ketamine infusion for depression is off-label; esketamine (SPRAVATO) is FDA-approved for specific indications; TMS devices are FDA-cleared for specific indications. We do not blur these terms.

Independence. Coverage is not for sale. We do not run sponsored articles, paid placements, or advertorials. Any future advertising will be labeled as such and separated from editorial content.

Ownership disclosure. Colorado Mental Health News shares ownership with a network of consumer health-information sites listed in our footer. Editorial decisions are made by the newsroom. When a story concerns an organization connected to our ownership, that connection is disclosed in the story.

Corrections. We correct errors promptly. Material corrections are noted at the top or bottom of the story with the date. To request a correction, use the Contact page and include the article URL and the specific claim at issue.

Updates. Stories updated after publication show an "Updated" date. Substantive updates are described in a note within the story.

AI and automation. We may use software to monitor public sources — agency dockets, journal feeds, legislative calendars — for developments worth covering. Every published story is reviewed and approved by a human editor before publication.

Medical disclaimer. Nothing published here is medical advice, a recommendation to start or stop any treatment, or a substitute for consultation with a licensed clinician.
